Beach fishing again – what a pleasure to live off the land / sea !!!

With the beaches open again on the Costa Blanca, we have seen a return to the ever-popular pastime of beach front sea fishing.

Competitions are often organised in the late evenings once beach tourists depart, up and down the coastline and also an 'early bird' fisherman can be seen appearing on the beach as the sun rises nice and early to try their luck.

One that we came across recently was very pleased with his early morning return of a dozen lovely 'Lubina' (Sea Bass) – which are quite often plentiful on the 'Orihuela Costa' - a little 'local' knowledge regarding the recent weather, sea conditions etc obviously help, but with returns like this even the most in-experienced fisherman will be keen to 'try his luck'.
