Ready to tee off again ? Golf Courses begin to re-open on the Costa Blanca

Fortunately, golf here on the Orihuela Costa was one of the first sports allowed to be played as the early stages of the lockdown de-escalation began. Golf courses in the area were reopened in May and we are pleased to say that due to responsible behaviour and respect of the current Covid 19 rules in place, the re-opening has been a success.

Of the 3 Quara courses, Villamartin has been the first to open to the public and members alike, which will be followed by La Finca Golf & Hotel Resort, scheduled to reopen at the end of July. Las Ramblas will be the last of the 3 courses to open and is expected to be fully reopen sometime in August.

Guidelines in place have helped ensure the game of golf can be played safely during this difficult time. For example, rakes have been removed from bunkers, flags cannot be touched or taken out on the greens and special cups have been installed so that golfers can retrieve the ball easily with a putter rather than using their hands. These rules along with social distancing on driving ranges and practice facilities have helped keep us safe and the courses open.
